Austria-Hungary (Hapsburg Empire)

The Austria-Hungarian Dual Monarchy was a creation by the Hapsburg monarchs to represent both the Austrians (Dominant and Richest ethnic group in the empire) and the Hungarians (Largest ethnic group in the empire). It was created in 1867 as a result of the Austro-Hungarian Compromise of 1867, which separated the 2 states to be ruled by separate Parliaments & Prime Ministers, unified by a single head of state which was the Hapsburg Monarch, who served also a Commander-in-Chief of the Austro-Hungarian combined armed forces. The Compromise was created as a result to prevent rising nationalism across the Hapsburgs' minorities from collapsing the empire, especially Hungary following the Hungarian revolutions of 1848, which dealt a heavy blow to the empire.

Leaders (Austro-Hungarian 1870):
Wilhelm von Tegetthoff 1827-1871 ~ Most prestigious Austrian Navy admiral, one of the most prominent naval commanders of the 19th century according to data source. (Austrian Naval Hero, possible death in 1871 if scripted but not necessary as the game presents possible alternate paths).
Emperor Franz Joseph I of Austria 1830-1916 ~ Emperor of the Hapsburg Empire, Commander-in-Chief of the Austro-Hungarian combined forces.
Archduke Albrecht, Duke of Teschen 1817-1895 ~ Inspector General. Reformed the Hapsburg empire's army to be one of the best in europe.

Unique Units/Infantry (Austro-Hungarian 1870):
Landwehr: Ethnic Austrian/German and Czech/Bohemian infantry, usually equipped with the best equipment.
Honved: Hungarian Militias. Since Hungary was the most populated and central part of the empire, they were used mostly to defend while the Landwehrs were the offensive arm of the Hapsburg' Empire. Tougher than Landwehr but lesser equipment, slow movement.
Imperial: Remainder Hapsburgs' Ethnic groups. Usually had below-average equipment but still were normal infantry regiments. (Worse than Hungarian but better than Russian).
Honved Hussars: Austria-Hungary was perhaps the european power which exploited light cavalry the most. Most of these regiments were in the Easternmost (Hungarian) section of the empire as the Hapsburg Emperor wanted to use the famed Polish Hussars in his armies.

Unique Ships (Austro-Hungarian 1870):
1x "Kaiser" Class Battleship: The Austrian-Hungarian Navy only had one battleship in 1870, as the ship type was new and expensive. It was built by Germany and used by Austria-Hungary.
7x "Drache" Class Ironclads: Austria-Hungary used these ships during the Battle of Lissa to keep Italy busy trying to destroy them, while the Austrian gunboats blow the Italian ships up. Worked effectively and ultimately resulted in an Austrian victory.
7x "Erzherzog Ferdinand" Cruisers: Austria-Hungary had these cruisers to help in the Battle of Lissa, although they weren't of much use other than aid other ships in battle.
13x Gunboats: Austria-Hungary massively used these gunboats to blow-up the whole Italian Navy. Cheap and tons of damage, but will get destroyed in 1-2 shots.

1876: Russia offers to partition the Balkans
1878: Congress of Berlin, Austria acquires Bosnia-Herzogovina from Ottoman Empire (Sarajevo)
1914: Archduke Franz Ferdinand assassinated, Austria demands concessions from Serbia, Serbia declines, Austria-Hungary declares war.

Unique Problem:
Nationalist Revolts: Every 5 years, Austria-Hungary should get a revolt which represents a nationalist revolt. These units act/function like WW1 Red Army Revolters. There should spawn 24 weak militia units in a major capital city which is NOT Vienna.

TECH TREE:
Anti-Nationalist Propaganda: Austria-Hungary used several methods of false information to prevent possible nationalist revolts within the Hapsburg Empire. These methods can reduce the 24 militia units spawned to 12 and perhaps longer the 5 years to 10.

Rights to Minority Nobilities: Austria-Hungary passed a set of reforms which allowed it's minorities' nobilities to be considered aristocrats not only outside Austria, but in Austria too. This caused the aristocrats outside Austria to become much happier and therefore, be more loyal to the Hapsburgs by providing more taxes. (Increases income)
